 FENDI Kids - The Story

The story of the Fendi brand is one of a 100% Italian label, synonymous with luxury in its purest form. It all began in Rome in 1925. Adele and Eduardo Fendi opened a small workshop specialising in fur and leather goods. They soon became well known for the quality of their creations, but the Fendi brand really took off after the war when the couple's five daughters joined the family firm. Having been raised in this strict family where culture and extreme refinement were fundamental, Paola Fendi designed the furs, Anna Fendi, Silvia Fendi's mother, the ready-to-wear pieces, Franca Fendi managed the shops, Carla Fendi the administration and Alda Fendi supervised production. In 1965, the sisters took the bold move of bringing Karl Lagerfeld in as a designer. Karl Lagerfeld reworked Fendi's furs, amongst other things, to which he brought incomparable style, and created the famous Fendi monogram, a logo featuring two upturned Fs for 'Fun Fur'. In 1994, Silvia Fendi, daughter of Anna Fendi, joined the company as artistic director. She was behind the famous Fendi Baguette bag and the Fendi Peekaboo too. The Selleria range and the doctor bag revisited were her designs too. Silvia Fendi perpetuated the passion for the Fendi brand which, by blending refinement and elegance, sobriety, class and exuberance, classicism and modernity, is now the biggest fur brand in the world and the super-chic symbol of Italian luxury.

Fendi for children

The Fendi Kids line, collections of Fendi clothes for children, revisits Fendi style for 3-month old babies to 12 year-old fashion fans. Fendi dresses for girls, Fendi sweatshirts for boys and Fendi bodysuits for babies are all must-have items to be snapped up as soon as possible. The strength of Fendi's children's range is that combination of a colour palette designed by Karl Lagerfeld, both bright and pastel, with Fendi quality, as well as that touch of humour that defines the Italian fashion house. Every pair of Fendi Kids trousers, T-shirt, down jacket and bib features characters that create a buzz, like the Fendi Monsters. Luxe children's clothing with a fun twist, made in Italy
